Hi @22132,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP Officejet Pro 8600 printer does not turn on after an out-of-box experience (OOBE) reset. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue:

Check the Power Connection:

  • Ensure that the power cord is securely connected to the printer and plugged directly into a wall outlet. Avoid using power strips or surge protectors, as they can cause power fluctuations.

Verify the Power Source:

  • Check that the wall outlet is functioning properly by plugging in another electronic device to see if it receives power.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Unplug the power cord from the rear of the printer and the wall outlet.
  • Wait for 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and then into the rear of the printer.
  • Press the Power button to see if the printer turns on.

Check for Power Button Issues:

  • Ensure the Power button on the printer is not stuck or jammed.

Inspect for Hardware Issues:

  • Examine the power cord and any visible connections for any signs of damage. If any damage is found, consider replacing the power cord.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
