Too many issues with this printer

first the power cable is too loose, we have to place it right for the printer to hold it.

second, it keeps blinking most of the time and we cannot print. I have to plug. It off, i complained about it earlier but nothing happened. I have more issues with this printer and am not able to use it often due to its problems that persists.

Hi @Fkhan2003,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry you're dealing with all these frustrating issues with your HP Smart Tank 6001, especially after already reaching out for help without resolution. Let’s address this step by step to give you the best path forward:

Basic Reset

  1. Unplug the printer from the power and wait 60 seconds
  2. Plug it directly into a wall outlet (not a surge protector)
  3. Hold the Power button + Cancel (X) for 10 seconds
  4. Let the printer reboot fully and check the light status

Check the HP Smart App

  • Open the HP Smart app > Add or select your printer
  • It should show a diagnostic message (e.g., ink sensor error, update needed)

Update Firmware (if possible)

  1. In HP Smart, go to Printer Settings > Advanced Settings

Under Tools, select Printer Updates

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
