Hi @Kim6021,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
I can completely understand how frustrating it is to feel stuck with a printer that won’t print, especially after accidentally activating HP+. The good news is: you don’t have to throw it away, there are ways to get it working again, and I’ll walk you through them step by step.
How to Fix It and Get Printing Again
1. Make Sure You’re Signed into the Same HP Account
If you accidentally activated HP+ but didn’t complete the setup:
- Open the HP app on your phone or computer.
- Sign in with the same HP account you used when you activated HP+.
- If you don’t remember the account, try recovering it here:
👉 Login to your HP Account | HP® Support
2. Reconnect the Printer to the Internet
HP+ printers must be online to function. If your printer is offline:
- Restart your Wi-Fi router.
- On the printer, reset the network settings:
- Press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons for 5 seconds until the wireless light blinks.
- Reconnect using the HP app: 👉 HP printer setup (HP app) | HP® Support
3. Check for HP Instant Ink Issues
If you’re using Instant Ink cartridges, they won’t work unless:
- The printer is connected to the internet.
- The Instant Ink subscription is active.
If your subscription was cancelled or expired, you’ll need to:
- Buy standard HP cartridges (non-Instant Ink ones).
- Or reactivate your Instant Ink subscription via your HP account: 👉Instant Ink account management | HP® Support
I hope this helps.
Take care and have an amazing day!
