Hi @Yasir946,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP LaserJet 3035 printer fails to start properly after displaying 5/6 points, it could indicate a variety of issues. Here’s a step-by-step guide to diagnose and potentially fix the problem:

1. Check for Error Messages

  • Error Codes: Look at the printer’s display panel for any specific error codes or messages. These codes can provide clues about the nature of the problem.

2. Power Cycle the Printer

  1. Turn Off the Printer: Press the power button to turn off the printer. If it’s unresponsive, unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
  2. Wait: Leave the printer unplugged for about 30 seconds.
  3. Reconnect and Power On: Plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer. Check if it progresses past the 5/6 point.

3. Inspect for Physical Issues

  • Paper Jams: Open all accessible compartments (input tray, output tray, rear door) and check for any paper jams or obstructions.
  • Toner Cartridge: Ensure the toner cartridge is properly installed and not damaged. Remove and reseat the toner cartridge if necessary.
  • Check Connections: Ensure that all cables (power, network, USB) are securely connected.

4. Perform a Hard Reset

  1. Turn Off the Printer: Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  2. Remove Cartridges: If applicable, remove the toner cartridges.
  3. Wait: Leave the printer unplugged for at least 60 seconds.
  4. Reinstall Cartridges and Power On: Reinstall the toner cartridges, plug the printer back in, and turn it on.

5. Check for Firmware Issues

  • Firmware Update: If you can access HP's support website, check if there are any firmware updates available for your model. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve startup issues.

6. Consult the Printer Manual

  • User Manual: Refer to the HP LaserJet 3035 user manual for troubleshooting tips specific to the model. It may include information on error codes and their meanings.

7. Run Diagnostic Tests

  • Printer’s Built-in Tests: If accessible, use the printer’s built-in diagnostic or test features to check for issues. Some printers have a self-test mode that can help identify problems.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
