Hi @Sunshine7124,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

If your HP ENVY 6455e All-in-One Printer is displaying a red "X" and won’t print, it typically indicates an error that needs to be resolved. Here are steps you can take to troubleshoot and fix the issue:

1. Check for Error Messages

  • Review the Printer's Display:
    • Look for any specific error messages on the printer’s display panel that can provide more information about the problem.

2. Clear Any Paper Jams

  • Check for Paper Jams:
    • Open the printer’s access door and check for any paper jams. Remove any jammed paper carefully.
  • Check the Output Tray:
    • Ensure that the output tray is not full and that there are no stuck pages.

3. Check Ink Levels

  • Inspect Ink Cartridges:
    • Open the printer’s access door and check the ink cartridges. Make sure they are properly installed and not empty.
  • Replace Low or Empty Cartridges:
    • If any cartridges are low or empty, replace them with new ones.

4. Restart the Printer

Turn Off the Printer:

  • Press the power button to turn off the printer.

Unplug the Printer:

  • Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.

Wait for 60 seconds:

  • This allows the printer to reset.

Plug the Printer Back In:

  • Reconnect the power cord and turn the printer back on.

5. Update Printer Firmware

Use HP Smart App:

  • Open the HP Smart App on your computer or mobile device and check for firmware updates.

Visit HP Support:

  • You can also visit the HP Support website to download the latest firmware for your printer model.

Kindly check the remaining steps in the next post.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
