2. Clear Any Paper Jams
- Check for Paper Jams:
- Open the printer’s access door and check for any paper jams. Remove any jammed paper carefully.
- Check the Output Tray:
- Ensure that the output tray is not full and that there are no stuck pages.
3. Check Ink Levels
- Inspect Ink Cartridges:
- Open the printer’s access door and check the ink cartridges. Make sure they are properly installed and not empty.
- Replace Low or Empty Cartridges:

6. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor
Download the Tool:
- Go to the HP Print and Scan Doctor website and download the tool.
Run the Tool:
- Follow the prompts to diagnose and fix printing issues.
7. Check Connection Settings
Wireless Connection:
- Ensure that the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network. You can check this through the printer’s settings menu.
USB Connection:
- If using a USB connection, ensure the cable is securely connected to both the printer and the computer.
8. Reset the Printer
If the issue persists, consider resetting the printer to factory settings:
Open HP Smart App:
- Use the app to reset the printer to its factory defaults.
Follow On-Screen Instructions:
- Be sure to follow the instructions provided in the app.
