@ZIGOTO1964, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Error State on HP DeskJet 2723!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your HP DeskJet 2723 printer is showing an "error state" message, here are some steps that might help you resolve the issue:

Check Connection:

  • Ensure the printer is properly connected to your computer via USB or a reliable wireless network. Sometimes connectivity issues can lead to error states.

Restart Devices:

  • Turn off your printer and computer. Unplug the printer from its power source for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn on the devices. Restart your computer and see if the connectivity issue persists.

Check for Updates:

  • Ensure that your printer drivers are up to date. You can do this by visiting the HP website or using the HP Support Assistant tool to automatically find and install the latest drivers.

Printer Reset:

  • Reset your printer to factory settings. You can usually do this by accessing the printer menu and choosing the reset option.

Check for Paper Jams or Cartridge Issues:

  • Make sure there are no paper jams. Also, check if the ink cartridges are installed properly and are not empty or running low.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
