Hi @vinay9035,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP LaserJet Pro 4104dw printer is showing a "Supply Problem" message indicating that "The indicated supplies are not communicating," it suggests that there's an issue with the toner cartridges or other supplies. Here’s a detailed troubleshooting guide to help you resolve this problem:

1. Check Toner Cartridges

Turn Off the Printer:

  • Press the power button to turn off the printer.

Open the Printer:

  • Open the toner access door or cover.

Remove and Reinstall Toner Cartridges:

  • Carefully remove the toner cartridges one by one.
  • Check for any protective seals or packaging that might still be on the cartridges.
  • Reinsert the toner cartridges, ensuring they are securely seated in their slots.

Inspect Cartridges:

  • Check the toner cartridges for any damage or leaks. Replace any damaged cartridges.

2. Check for Correct Cartridge Installation

Verify Compatibility:

  • Ensure that the toner cartridges you are using are compatible with the HP LaserJet Pro 4104dw model.

Verify Installation:

  • Ensure that each toner cartridge is installed in the correct slot as indicated by the printer’s user manual.

3. Clean Contacts and Reinsert Cartridges

Inspect and Clean Contacts:

  • Check the contact points on the toner cartridges and inside the printer for any dust or debris.
  • Use a soft, dry cloth to gently clean the contact points if needed.

Reinsert Cartridges:

  • After cleaning, reinsert the toner cartridges and close the toner access door.

4. Check for Firmware Updates

Visit HP Support:

  • Go to the HP Support website and search for your printer model.

Download Firmware:

  • Check for any available firmware updates for your printer and follow the instructions to update it.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
