Please follow the below steps

 

Restart Printer & Power Cycle

  1. Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  2. Wait for 60 seconds.
  3. Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Reset the Printer

If the error persists, try a printer reset:

  1. Unplug the printer while it is ON.
  2. Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.
  3. Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Update Printer Firmware

  1. Go to Setup > Printer Maintenance > Update Printer on the printer screen.
  2. If an update is available, install it.
  3. Restart the printer and check if the error disappears.

Perform a Hard Reset

If the issue persists, try a hard reset:

  1. On the printer screen, go to:
    • Setup > Printer Maintenance > Restore Factory Defaults
  2. After reset, reconnect the printer to Wi-Fi and set it up again.

Reinstall Printer Drivers (Windows 11)

If the issue is related to software, reinstall the printer:

  1. Remove the printer from Windows:
    • Go to Settings > Bluetooth & Devices > Printers & Scanners.
    • Click the printer and select Remove Device.
  2. Download and install the latest HP Smart app from HP’s website.
  3. Add the printer again and test printing.
