Hi @lbm2,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're encountering an error message on your HP OfficeJet 9012 All-In-One Printer indicating an issue with your HP account, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the problem.

  • Check Internet Connection: Ensure that your printer is connected to the internet properly. A stable internet connection is required for syncing your printer with your HP account.
  • Verify HP Account Credentials: Make sure that you are entering the correct username and password for your HP account. If you're not sure, try logging into your HP account on a computer or mobile device to confirm your credentials.
  • Restart Printer: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary issues. Turn off your printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve compatibility issues and improve performance.
  • Reset Printer: If the problem persists, you can try resetting your printer to its factory defaults. Keep in mind that this will erase any custom settings, so make sure to note them down before proceeding.

Additionally, you can also check the HP support website for any known issues or updates related to your printer model. Sometimes, HP releases firmware updates or provides solutions for common problems through our support channels.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
