Hi @Lake2021,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

The 59.C0 error on your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M277c6 indicates a Developer Motor Rotation Error, which means the printer is having trouble rotating the internal motor responsible for moving toner to the imaging drum.

Recommended Steps to Fix 59.C0 Error

1. Power Cycle the Printer

  • Turn off the printer using the power button.
  • Unplug it from the wall (avoid using a surge protector).
  • Wait at least 30 seconds.
  • Plug it directly into a wall outlet and turn it back on.

This resets the motor and clears temporary faults.

2. Remove and Reinsert Toner Cartridges

  • Open the toner access door.
  • Remove all toner cartridges.
  • Power on the printer without any cartridges.
  • If it boots without error, insert one cartridge at a time, closing the door after each.
  • This helps identify if a specific cartridge is causing the issue.

3. Check for Seized Drum or Faulty Cartridge

Sometimes a toner cartridge’s drum may be seized or defective.

  • Gently rotate the drum on each cartridge (if accessible).
  • If one feels stuck or gritty, it may be the cause.
  • Try replacing that cartridge with a new or known-good one.

4. Update Firmware and Drivers

Outdated firmware can cause motor control issues.
