First, my HP Officejet 4635 printer wouldn't print any print jobs until I went in and cleared out all print jobs in Queue. Then it worked for a couple of days and then all of a sudden the printer wouldn't even turn on. I unplugged it and plugged into a different outlet and then it worked for 2 days, and now I have  error code of 0XB03687E4.

@Patrick420, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The error code 0xB03687E4 on your HP Officejet 4635 typically indicates a hardware or firmware-level malfunction, which could stem from internal electronics, the print head, or corrupted firmware.

Given your printer's behavior (intermittent power issues, queuing problems, now this error), this points to a deeper internal fault, but here's a step-by-step to try and resolve it or confirm the issue:

Power Reset the Printer

  • This clears any residual charge and resets internal memory:
  • With the printer on, unplug the power cable from the back of the printer.
  • Unplug it from the wall too.
  • Wait 60 seconds.
  • Press and hold the power button on the printer (if available) for 15 seconds (discharges residual power).
  • Plug it back in directly to a wall outlet, not through a surge protector.
  • Turn it on.

Check for Jammed Parts or Cartridge Issues

  • Open the printer lid and remove the ink cartridges.
  • Check for any stuck paper, debris, or jammed print head.
  • While cartridges are out, plug in and turn on the printer—see if it boots without the error.
  • Reinstall cartridges one at a time to test if one triggers the error.

Firmware Reset (if accessible)

  • If the printer boots enough to access the touchscreen:
  • Tap Setup (wrench icon) > Printer Maintenance > Restore Factory Defaults (or similar).
  • If you see an "Update Printer" option, try updating the firmware.

Use HP Print and Scan Doctor (Windows)

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
