I believe my Officejet 6962 just died. Anybody have any suggestions as to what to replace it with.

It keeps paper jamming and have tried everything.  I think it's broken and needs to be replaced.  Need something that will do the same as the Officejet 6962.  It's only for home use.

The specifications on this printer are not spectacular - these are kind of "in the middle" as Officejet printers go.

For example, the printer lacks ADF 2-sided printing and does not support ADF 2-sided scanning.

It does include OCR software in the Full Feature Software - if you use this and expect it, check the specs for the new printer for the feature or be prepared to provide an alternative.

If this printer is "all you need and expect", most of the new Officejet series would suffice.

What if?

That said, letting someone else choose your printer is perhaps not the best idea.

What to do?

• Keep the 6962 specification data handy for reference.
• Check at the HP Store for "Officejet" printers.
• Start at the "top" of the range you can even consider - no reason to start at the bottom.  Why?  The "top of the line does provide some pretty nice features and is worth a look even if you later decide to settle for a different printer.
• Check the features provided on any potential printer against what you already have.
