Hi @ButtercupsCrank,
I got you! Since it’s tax season, let’s get your HP OfficeJet Pro 9010e printing ASAP. let’s narrow down the issue a bit so that i have a better understanding of the issue.
- Does the printer turn on properly? (Any error messages or blinking lights?)
- How is the printer connected? (Wi-Fi, USB, or Ethernet?)
- Can you print a test page from the printer itself?
- On the printer touchscreen, go to Setup → Reports → Print Quality Report.
- Does the printer show "Offline" on your computer or device?
- Are the ink cartridges installed properly, and is there enough ink?
- Does the print job get stuck in the queue, or does the printer respond at all?
remember the more information you give the better I can assist you.
Meanwhile here are some general troubleshooting steps you can try to get your printer running.
1. Restart Everything
- Power cycle the printer: Turn it off, unplug it for 60 seconds, then turn it back on.
- Restart your computer and router (if using Wi-Fi).
2. Check Ink & Paper
- Ensure the ink cartridges are seated properly.
- Make sure there’s paper in the tray and it’s aligned correctly.

3. Run HP Print & Scan Doctor (Windows Users)
- Download HP Print and Scan Doctor from HP’s official site.
- Run it to automatically fix printing issues.
4. Clear Print Queue
- On Windows, open Control Panel → Devices and Printers → Right-click your printer → See what's printing → Cancel all documents.
- On Mac, go to System Settings → Printers & Scanners → Click the printer → Open Print Queue → Cancel all jobs.
5. Check Connection & Driver Updates
- If using Wi-Fi, ensure the printer is connected to the right network.
- Try printing from another device to see if the issue is with the printer or computer.
- Update the printer drivers from HP’s website.
6. Try Printing a Different Document
- See if the issue is document-specific by printing a different file.
- Print a test page directly from the printer's touchscreen menu.
Let me know what happens after these steps, and I’ll guide you further! 😊
