HP ENVY Pro 6455 All-in-One Printer

Hi I cancelled HP envy Pro 6455 Instant Ink and printer has not worked since. It says E and there is no number flashing but there is an orange yellow light

When you cancel HP Instant Ink, the printer immediately disables the use of Instant Ink cartridges — even if they still contain ink. That’s why your HP ENVY Pro 6455 is showing an “E” with an amber/orange light: it's a cartridge-related error.
 

Here's what you need to do:

  1. Remove the Instant Ink cartridges from the printer.
    • These are usually labelled or marked with “Instant Ink.”
       
  2. Install standard, genuine HP ink cartridges instead.
    • Look for regular HP 67 or HP 67XL cartridges (non-Instant Ink versions).
    • These can be purchased online or at most office supply stores.

Once you install valid, non-Instant Ink cartridges, your printer should return to normal operation.

Thank you for your response but I had already taken the step you recommended before contacting you. The E still appears after replacement with a new & genuine HP ink cartridge. What else do you suggest? Thank you, Linda

Thank you for letting me know. Could you please remove the ink cartridges currently installed in the printer, and could you share the front and back images of those cartridges, please?
