Product: Example: HP OfficeJet Pro 8710

I cannot scan. When I run the scan program it just says "tough luck" and I need to get my husband's paperwork over to a doctor's office. It says that it can't communicate to the printer but i have everything downloaded and have done everything instructed to do-- unplugged printer and plugged back in, also turned off computer and back on. HELP!!!!!!

For an urgent scanning you can use USB port left from the power button and scan directly from printer to USB drive, and later connect the USB drive with a scanned document to a computer.
