Hello I am having issues printing from emails and images on my HP Pavilion laptop. When I try to print a document from an email, I get the printer box pop up but inside it shows "print preview failed".  So I am unable to print any documents for my printer. It does sometimes allow for a download and then I can print the download. Please help as I have spent countless hours for probably an easy solution to allow for printing. Thank you in advance

Note: Do not share any of your personal information such as serial number, phone number, email ID, etc., on your public post.

 

- Is it an HP printer you are using?

- Are you able to print from all other applications?

- When was the last time it was working fine?

- Were there any changes made to your PC recently?

Thank you for reaching out. I do have a HP printer. I can print from all other applications. The last time I was able to print was 1 week ago. I have not done any changes to my PC. If I can download from the email, I can print, however if I try to open the PDF and print from that attachment, i constantly receive the "print preview failed" response.

Hi @Martina72,

 

As you are able to print from all other applications, there is no issue with the printer or the printer software.

 

You have an issue only when you try to print a document directly from your email without downloading the file. This is a third party application issue.

 

However, refer to the steps on this link to update the printer firmware and let me know if that resolves the issue.

 

If the issue still persists, please get in touch with your Email domain support for further assistance.
