I have 2 printers that had a power failure last week and both are stuck with error codes

HP Recommended
Officejet 4650
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an Officejet 4650 with an error code 0xb883BFB4 and will not reset. In fact it no longer recognizes the device.  I've assumed it was the power failure that we suffered as we are in Texas and winter storm Uri hit. The reason I assume that is because I also have an Officejet Pro 8710 that is having almost the same issue. It will power up and says the device was not shut down right and when you click ok it loops basically. It is also no longer recognized by the pc. I have replaced the printer cables. I have tried to run every troubleshooting process I know of . I've powered it down etc. and it continues the same issue. What else can I do or are they fried?

@LoopyLynda74, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

I understand you are not able to print due to this error.

Kindly perform the steps mentioned in this document - '0xc19a0005' or Similar Error Code Displays

 

Also, check if there are any jams inside the printer, refer to - Paper Jam Error

Check if the print carriage is moving freely. Refer to 'Carriage Jam' or 'E3' Error Displays 

 

Now, try making a standalone copy and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue. If the printer makes a copy, the hardware is fine.

 

If you are not able to make a copy, I'm afraid this is a hardware issue. Please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service options for your printer. 

 

If the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.
