HP ENVY 6055e All-in-One Printer

I have a HP Envy 6055e.  My color copy light was flashing.  I don't know what that means.  I haven't been able to find my ink levels.  I got a computer message that says, "You're Printer needs attention".

With your HP ENVY 6055e printer and HP Instant Ink subscription, you can easily check your ink levels and understand the status messages from your printer.

HP Smart App:

  • Download and Install: If you haven't already, download the HP Smart app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android), or access it via the Microsoft Store for your Windows PC.
  • Connect Your Printer: Open the app and connect it to your HP ENVY 6055e printer.
  • Check Ink Levels:
    • On the main screen of the app, you will see your printer listed with an option to view ink levels. This will display the levels for both black and color cartridges.

Printer Software:

  • Windows:
    • Click the Start menu and select All Programs.
    • Click HP, then open your HP ENVY 6055e series software.
    • Find the option for checking Estimated Ink Levels.
  • macOS:
    • Click on the Apple menu and go to System Preferences.
    • Select Printers & Scanners.
    • Choose your HP ENVY 6055e printer from the list and open Options & Supplies.
    • You should see an option to check ink levels.

HP Instant Ink Portal:

Understanding the Color Copy Light Flashing

  • Color Copy Light Flashing: This usually indicates that there is an issue with the printer requiring attention. This might be due to low ink, paper jam, or another error.
  • Check Printer Messages:
