@Pgm-24, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Fixing HP OfficeJet Pro 8620 Printer Offline Issue!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your HP OfficeJet Pro 8620 printer has gone offline and is not reconnecting when you press the power button, follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Step 1: Check the Printer and Computer Connectivity

Check Network Connection:

  • Ensure that both your printer and Lenovo computer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Check the printer's control panel to confirm it is connected to the network. If not connected, reconnect it using the printer's network settings.

Check the Power Connection:

  • Ensure that the printer’s power cable is plugged directly into a functioning power outlet.

Restart Devices:

  • Turn off the printer and your Lenovo computer.
  • Unplug the printer power cord and wait for 30 seconds.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
  • Turn your Lenovo computer back on and try to print again.

Step 2: Verify the Printer Status on Your Computer

Open Printer Queue:

  • For Windows 10: Go to "Windows Start" menu, click on "Settings" > "Devices" > "Printers & scanners."
  • Click on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8620 and select "Open queue."

Check for Printer Status:

  • Ensure there are no checkmarks next to "Pause Printing" or "Use Printer Offline."
  • Right-click and uncheck these options if selected.

Step 3: Restart the Print Spooler Service

Open Services:

  • Press Windows + R on your keyboard, type services.msc, and press Enter.

Restart Print Spooler:

  • Scroll down to "Print Spooler," right-click on it, and select "Restart."
  • Ensure the startup type is set to "Automatic."

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
