Hi Irwin6,
Thank you for contacting me. My Product is a printer HP 9012. The product number is IKR44A. The serial number is TH974480H4.
I was printing a lot of documents when the notification said that my ink was low and one needed changing. I proceeded to changing all so there would be no further interruptions. Once I had changed them, the printer stopped printing. An error appeared saying, "Supply System Protection - K- There is a problem with the supply system. Try replacing the affected cartridge with a different, non-empty, cartridge. If message reappears again, record message and contact support." When I checked the supply on my printer settings it showed that the black ink was empty, even though it was a brand new one. I changed it out again with another new one and the same error remained. That was four days ago and the error is still there and the printer is still not printing. Please help.
Thanks for your assistance.

Hi @Soncie,
Thank you for sharing the above information. Please follow the steps below to fix the issue.
A) Please follow the steps below to perform a power drain.
1) Take out the cartridges
2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.
3) Press and hold the power button down for 15 seconds and release the power button, wait for about 30 seconds.
4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not into a surge protector.
5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.
Remove the cartridges > Unplug the power cord > Wait for 30 seconds > Plug the power cord back in > Insert the cartridges
B) Kindly refer to the steps on this link to update the printer firmware and let me know if that resolves the issue.
