Hello NoelleK,

Thank you for sharing your concern.

An E0 error code on your HP printer could indicate different issues depending on the model. Generally, it might relate to a problem with the ink cartridge installation, compatibility, or a need for a reset. Here's what you can try to resolve the issue:

Troubleshooting Steps:

  1. Reinstall the Ink Cartridges:

    • Turn off the printer and wait for a few seconds.
    • Open the ink cartridge access door.
    • Check that each ink cartridge is installed correctly into its respective slot. Reinsert them to ensure they are secure.
  2. Check Ink Cartridge Compatibility:

    • Ensure that the ink cartridges are the exact model compatible with your printer. Double-check the numbers on the cartridge and compare them with the printer's specifications.
  3. Clean the Ink Cartridge Contacts:

    • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
    • Carefully remove the ink cartridge.
    • Use a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water to clean the copper-colored contacts on the cartridge and the printer where the cartridges sit.
    • Allow everything to dry completely before reinserting the cartridges.
  4. Reset the Printer:

    • Turn off the printer by pressing the power button.
    • Unplug the printer from the power source and wait for about 60 seconds.
    • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
  5. Update Printer Firmware:

    • Sometimes an outdated firmware can cause errors. Connect your printer to a PC with internet access and check for any firmware updates through the HP website or HP Support Assistant.

If the problem persists after following these steps, consult the printer’s manual for more specific guidance related to the E0 error or contact HP Support with printer model number, SL no.
