If you're encountering a "printhead problem" error (Oxc19a0013) on your HP OfficeJet Pro 6970 printer, it typically indicates an issue with the printhead that might require cleaning or other maintenance. Here's a step-by-step process to address this error:

Step 1: Clean the Printhead

Access Printer Maintenance:

  • On the printer control panel, select the Setup menu.
  • Navigate to Printer Maintenance or Tools.

Initiate Printhead Cleaning:

  • Select Clean Printhead.
  • Follow prompts to complete the cleaning process.

Repeat if Necessary:

  • If the problem persists, you can repeat the cleaning process up to three times for thorough cleaning. Allow at least 30 minutes between each cleaning cycle.

Step 2: Check the Ink Cartridges

  • Make sure the cartridges are properly installed and have sufficient ink. Replace any low or empty cartridges with genuine HP cartridges.

Step 3: Perform a Reset

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and restart.
