I installed a brand new genuine black cartridge and it doesn't work

My printer worked fine until I replaced the black ink cartridge!!! I purchased a genuine hp black ink cartridge and installed it. It didnt work so I purchased another same thing wont work.  I purchased a 3rd and it threw a fit about the color cartridges being depleted so I bought all new color cartridges. I installed 4 all new genuine hp ink cartridges and now everything but the black works. I ran dianostics, the colors printed but no black. I cleaned the heads the colors printed but no black. I have done every single thing to fix this issue but the black still will not print. Why???????? Please, please help I have followed every single trouble shooting process and still nothing! What am I doing wrong???

Welcome to HP Forums, 

This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries.

 

I suggest you do a Hard Reset

 

(1) Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.

(2) Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.

(3) With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.

(4) Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

(5) Wait at least 60 seconds.

(6) Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.

(7) Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.

(8) Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.

 

The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.

Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

 

If the issue persists, please follow the all the solution in this link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-officejet-4620-e-all-in-one-printer-series/5101229/model/521... that could help us in finding the solution.

 

Make sure you restart the printer once you update the firmware.
