Based on what I see on your HP Smart Tank 6001's control panel, the error icon showing ink tank symbols with a plus sign typically indicates a Printhead issue:

Steps to Fix It (HP Official Guidance)

1. Check Ink Levels

  • Open the front ink tank cover.
  • Make sure all tanks (Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow) are filled to the recommended level.
  • If any tank is low, refill using genuine HP ink bottles.


2. Check Printhead Installation

  • Open the printhead access area.
  • Ensure both the black and tri-color printheads are securely installed.
  • If recently replaced, make sure the orange protective tape was removed.


3. Reset the Printer

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug it from the power source for 60 seconds.
  • Plug it back in and turn it on.


4. Run HP Smart Diagnostics

  • Open the HP Smart app on your Windows 11 PC.
  • Go to Printer Settings > Advanced Settings > Tools > Printer Status Report.
  • Check for any ink system or printhead errors.
