macOS 10.15 Catalina

I reinstalled the drivers, changed the cartridges, but cyan will not print even on the test page. No error message.

@ojii, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

This is a hardware issue. Reinstalling the drivers will not help. Let us try these steps:

 

Update the printer firmware

Click here to download and install the latest firmware from your MAC.

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

 

Clean the printhead

  1. From the printer control panel, open the Setup  menu.

  2. Open the Printer Maintenance menu.

  3. If necessary, open the Tools menu, and then touch Clean Printhead.

  4. If the print quality is unacceptable, touch Clean Again to continue the next level of cleaning. If necessary, repeat these steps for the third cleaning cycle.

    NOTE: If the printhead is badly clogged, it might require another cleaning cycle. If so, wait 30 minutes before you perform all three levels of cleaning again.

Print a Print Quality Diagnostic Page, and then evaluate the results.

  1. Load plain white paper in the input tray.

  2. From the printer control panel, open the Setup  menu.

  3. Open the Reports or Tools menu.

  4. Touch Print Quality Report. Check for any defects.

If the issue persists, perform step 9 from this document - Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues

 

If the issue persists, the printhead has gone bad as you have already used a new cyan ink cartridge. Please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
