I turned off the back power button and now all the front lights are blinking. The printer will now, do nothing.

@Shawneem037, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.

I understand you're experiencing an issue where all the front lights on your HP Envy 6455e printer are blinking after turning off the back power button. Let's work through this together.

This blinking light pattern typically indicates the printer is in an error state. Here's what you can do:

Perform a Power Reset

This helps clear most temporary errors:

  • With the printer powered on, unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
  • Unplug the cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait for 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet directly (avoid power strips).
  • Reconnect the cord to the printer and turn it on.

Check for Cartridge or Paper Issues

Sometimes blinking lights are related to cartridge or paper jams:

  • Open the cartridge access door and ensure both cartridges are properly seated.
  • Remove and reinsert them if needed.
  • Check for any paper jams or obstructions inside the printer.

Restore Factory Defaults

If the issue persists:

  • Press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons together for about 5 seconds until the printer resets.
  • This will restore the printer to its default settings.

Use HP Smart App for Diagnostics

Download and open the HP Smart app on your mobile or PC: HP Smart

  • Add your printer.
  • Use the Diagnose & Fix feature to identify and resolve issues automatically.
