I have listed the os operating system for my friends laptop. Please help me change the fact that printer will no longer be using my HP instant ink account as they plan to buy the ink themselves. I'd like them to have there own HP account. I need to factory reset the printer to be able to do this. Please help.

Hi @GaryIanAnderson,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To factory reset your HP Envy 7134 printer, follow these steps.

  1. Turn on the printer.
  2. Disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  3. Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  4. While holding down the Power button, reconnect the power cord to the printer. Keep holding the Power button until the printer turns on.
  5. Continue holding the Power button for about 10 seconds, and then release it. The printer should reset to factory settings.

After the printer has been reset, you can set it up again with the new HP account for your friends.

  1. Turn on the printer and follow the on-screen instructions to set your language, country/region, and other preferences.
  2. When prompted, connect the printer to your friends' Wi-Fi network.
  3. Download and install the latest printer drivers and software from the HP website or through the HP Smart app on your friends' computer or mobile device.
  4. Follow the prompts to add the printer to their HP account. If they don't have an HP account yet, they can create one during the setup process.
  5. Once the printer is added to their HP account, they can purchase ink cartridges as needed and manage their printer settings online.

By following these steps, your friends should be able to use the printer with their own HP account and purchase ink cartridges independently.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

It's not working. I have tried various ways of doing this. But it doesn't factory reset no matter how long I hold the power button.
