i would like to stop auto update on my hp all-in-one printer HP OfficeJet 8015e how to do that ?

i placed all the inks in the printer but still getting error messages on the screen like K Cartridge “The Indicated cartridge have been identified as used or counterfeit HP+ printers require Original HP cartridges. Replace the non-original cartridge to continue printing.”

How can i bypass this message and go to main screen and choose settings option where i can choose disable or turn off auto firmware update from the main screen

All the inks in the printer are new and recently ordered ready to use from HP All Originals

Thank you

@Nick0073, Welcome to the HP Support Community.

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution. We hope our assistance has been helpful!

To stop automatic updates on your HP OfficeJet 8015e All-in-One Printer, you can adjust the printer's settings to disable this feature. Here's how you can do this:

  1. Access the Printer's Control Panel:

    • On the printer’s touchscreen display, navigate to the home screen.
  2. Open Printer Settings:

    • On the home screen, tap the Setup or Settings icon. This is usually represented by a gear icon.
  3. Locate Printer Maintenance or Updates:

    • Within the settings menu, find the Printer Maintenance or Updates option.
  4. Disable Automatic Updates:

    • Select the Printer Updates option.
    • You will see an option to check for updates or to configure the update settings.
    • Choose the setting to Turn Off automatic updates, or toggle it to manual updates.

It's important to note that while disabling updates can stop new features or corrections from being automatically applied, it can also prevent your printer from receiving important security and functionality upgrades.

I hope this helps!

Take care and have an amazing day!
