IP ADDRESS

HP Recommended
HP INKJET PRO 6978
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

CANNOT SCAN WIRELESSLY.  HE PRINTER SAY IP 10-0-0-1. IT SHOULD BE SOMETHING LIKE 192-168-1-1-.

I HAVE RE-SET BOTH THE ROUTER AND THE PRINTER. NO CHANGE.

 

I CAN PRINT VIA USB

 

ANY IDEAS>>>

Hi,

I assume you may have a manual IP set for the printer for your old network.

Please swipe down the top bar on the printer and tap the Wireless icon.

Click the gear icon and then select Advanced Settings.

Click on IP Settings and confirm the prompt, then change it to DHCP and press OK.

 

Allow the printer a moment and check if the address changes to 192.168.x.x, then restart the PC and check for any difference.
