Hi @CTPRAR,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP DeskJet 2855e recently started misplacing images in landscape format (left margin missing), even though all settings in Word, Excel, and the printer are correct. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Check Page Setup in Applications

In Word/Excel, go to Page Layout > Margins and confirm margins are set to “Normal.”

Ensure orientation is explicitly set to Landscape and not auto‑rotated.

Verify Printer Driver Settings

Open Devices and Printers > Printer Properties.

Under Advanced > Printing Defaults, confirm orientation is set to Landscape and margins are not overridden.

If using “HP Class Driver,” switch to the HP DeskJet 2855e driver from HP’s support site.

Update Printer Driver

Download and install the latest full driver package for the DeskJet 2855e.

Outdated drivers can cause margin misalignment, especially after Windows updates.

Test with PDF or Notepad

Print a simple PDF or Notepad file in landscape.

If margins are correct there, the issue is application‑specific (Word/Excel).

If margins are still missing, it’s driver/firmware related.

Check Scaling Options

In the print dialog, ensure “Fit to Page” or “Scale” is not enabled.

These options can shift margins when switching to landscape.

Update Firmware

Use the HP Smart app to check for firmware updates.

Updates often fix layout and margin issues introduced by recent patches.

Reset Printer Settings

On the printer control panel, restore factory defaults.

This clears any corrupted margin/orientation settings stored in memory.

I hope this helps.
