Good Day,

I am having problems with my printer because it shows incompatible ink cartridges even though the box says it is compatible with my printer. I managed to print out a test page and it shows the following string:

Current Error: Pen in left chute has region which does not match region of printer.

After some research, it has something to do with the region of the cartridges and printer being different and I was advised to have my printer region settings reset.

The following info was labelled to be given to support personnel.

Printer SN: ---Redacted---
Total Page Count: 1281
TriColor Ink ID: E054BF611E5C3AAF
Black Ink ID: 0052B3E11E305089
RX(last 4 digits):

I am hoping someone will be able to help soon. Thanks in advance

@JohnFrancisco, Welcome to HP Support Community!

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Forums profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.
