Have new 950XL z10 cartridges and printer says they are incompatible with my printer. printer was bought and registered in the US. What can't i get them to work?

Hello,

 

I'd suggest you to call HP Tech Support to do the Regionalization Reset.

Once you reach Tech Support Agent, ask for L2 or Supervisor as L1 agent is not authorized to do the regionalization reset.

Hello, 

 

The  950XL z10 cartridges are regionalized, which means your printer only accepts cartridges intended for use in your area. 

A printer would be locked to a region based the cartridge installed during first time setup. 

 

Where did you purchase the 950XL z10 ?  USA ?

Yes, Printer was bought from Best Buy about 18months ago and the new Cartridges came form Office Depot.

Any chance you have the phone number? I seem to be stuck in a loop and all I get is vertial support or community suppport.

After an hour and a half on the phone and 4-5 trys they got t in the end.
