Hi @Aziwe,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

When the orange light next to the "i" button on your HP DeskJet 2710 is flashing, it usually indicates an issue that needs attention. Here are steps you can take to resolve the issue and print the information page, which will include the printer's Wi-Fi Direct password:

Resolving the Orange Light Issue:

Check Error Message: Look at the control panel of your printer to see if there is an error message or specific indicator related to the flashing orange light. This can help diagnose the issue further.

Clear Paper Jam (if applicable):

  • If there is a paper jam, follow the printer's manual or on-screen instructions to clear it.

Check Ink Levels:

  • Ensure that there is sufficient ink in both the color and black cartridges. Low ink levels can sometimes cause operational issues.

Restart Printer:

  • Turn off the printer, wait for about 10 seconds, and then turn it back on. This can often resolve temporary issues.

Reset Printer:

  • Perform a reset of the printer to clear any temporary configurations or errors:
    • Turn on the printer if it is not already on.
    • Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
    • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
    • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
