HP PHOTOSMART 6520

Dear all, we purchased the printer HP PHOTOSMART 6520 in the US some years ago, and recently relocated to Switzerland/Europe. We have bought genuine HP cartridges of the 364 series through a local vendor, but they don't work on our printer (which only seems to accept 564 series). We get the error "cartridge incompatible" with the 364 cartridges, but we cannot get the 564 cartridges anywhere here in Europe. I have read that HP support can override the set-up of the printer, so that it can work with cartridges available in this region (see here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02558798). However, I have tried to contact HP support via the HP website but once I enter the product serial number, it simply says that my warranty is expired and no option is given to contact HP support. I am wondering if there is any other way we can get help? Thank you very much

I called the local HP support team by phone and they were able to modify the regional settings of my printer to the country we live in now (Switzerland) and now the cartridges work fine. Thanks a lot!

Same problem here in Germany. Called HP Support team and they told me that there is nothing they can do to fix my problem.

How did they modify the regional settings of your printer?
