I bought a new black cartdrige as the printer was indicating it was empty (colored cartdriges still had some ink on them).
When I was installing the black cartdrige the printer started indicating that the blue one was now also empty (it must have emptied itself while I went to buy the black one).
Bought a new blue one and when I was installing it, surprise, surprise.. now it’s the yellow one that it’s empty!!
I bet that when I buy the yellow one, it will say that the red is also empty…
Unfortunately this is not the first time it happens, the printer indicates that the cartridges have about 20% ink, but when I replace one it starts saying another one is empty, and another one after that, and I end buying all for new ones every time one is empty.
I have asked here once already for assistance, did all the updates and suggested tests, but the problem remains so I guess this is a software issue from HP that makes the clients spend money on new cartdriges even when some still have some ink on them.
I’m a HP client for 20 plus years but I’m tired of spending money on overpriced cartridges that don’t print even 20% of what is announced.
I could buy a new printer for the price of the 4 cartdriges.
So I guess I’ll have to change to another brand that doesn’t rip off its clients as much as HP does (which is a shame because I really liked this printer, but enough is enough).
