Hi there!

I'm struggling to resolve the following issues with my printer:

  • Ink System Failure (Error: 0xc19a0042) ("Ink system has failed. Unable to copy, receive faxes, or print. Refer to printer documentation. Turn power off, then on again.")
  • Carriage Jam ("Open the print-carriage access door, clear the jam, and then touch OK to continue")
  • Cartridge Problem. ("The following ink cartridges appear to be missing or damaged.")

There is currently no paper jammed. I've made sure to check the front, top and back of this printer. All the ink cartridges are securely pushed in. I've unplugged and turned off the printer several times along with all the instructions provided above, but nothing seems to be working. My warranty also ended in 2012, so i'm unable to get any kind of support! Can anyone help me out?

You have 3 major issues with your printer, you will hardly get your printer to work by yourself.

Ink system failure is printhead failed, replacing the printhead will probably resolve Ink system failure and cartridge problem and the carriage jam could be due to several reasons.

How would you recommend I go about fixing these issues if my warranty ended in 2012?

I would recommend you to save money and get yourself a new printer. 8 years is a lot for a printer and once it starts to fail you'll never know how it will work.
