Ink drys up or runs out too quickly.

HP 4655
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

My mother has an HP 4655.  Prints less than 30 pages a year.  Yet the black ink cartridge needs to be replaced twice within the year ! She lives on a fixed income and cannot be shelling out money for ink just to print 30 pages or less.  She leaves the printer on all the time and I've even cleaned the print heads them as described to by HP.  It gets to the point where now she'll write down information instead of printing it cause she doesn't want to keep paying for ink.  The color ink seems to last longer.

Does anyone else have this issue ? Thanks

@Bbass56

I reviewed your post and I understand that the ink dries in the black cartridge.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

How often do you print?

You need to print at least once in a week for the cartridges to work properly. In case if you do not print for longer durations, I recommend you refer to the below article on how to store the cartridges.

I hope that answers your question and you have a great day!
