Hi
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your printer isn't working, here's a basic guide you can follow to diagnose and potentially fix the issue:
Check Power and Connections:
- Ensure the printer is properly plugged into a power outlet and turned on.
- Check that all cables (USB, power, or network) are securely connected.
Inspect for Error Messages:
- Look at the printer's display panel for any error codes or messages that indicate the problem.
Verify Ink and Paper:
- Make sure there's enough paper in the input tray and that it's loaded correctly.
- Check the ink or toner levels and replace any low or empty cartridges.
Clear Paper Jams:
- Open the printer and check for any paper jams. Carefully remove jammed paper if found.
Restart the Printer:
- Turn off the printer, wait for a minute, and then turn it back on to reset any temporary errors.
Check Printer Queue:
- On your computer, navigate to the printer settings and clear any stalled print jobs in the queue.
Reinstall or Update Drivers:
- Ensure your printer drivers are up to date. Visit HP's support website to download any necessary updates.
Verify Network Connection:
- If you're using a wireless printer, ensure it is connected to the network. Check that the printer and computer are on the same network.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a blissful day 😇.
