Hi @MEERKAT1943,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like your HP printer is connected to Wi-Fi, and the test page prints fine, but it isn't printing documents from Excel or Word. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot this issue.
Check Printer Queue
- Go to your Devices and Printers (on Windows) or Printers & Scanners (on macOS).
- Right-click the HP printer and select See what's printing.
- If there are any stuck jobs, clear them, and try printing again.
Reinstall Printer Drivers
- Sometimes, outdated or corrupted drivers can cause printing issues. You can reinstall the printer driver:
- Uninstall the current printer driver from your Control Panel (Windows) or System Preferences (macOS).
- Download the latest driver from the HP website.
- Install the updated driver and try printing again.
Check Document Settings
- Ensure that the document you're trying to print is properly set up to print, especially in Excel or Word.
- Try printing a different document, such as a PDF or a test page, to see if it’s an issue with specific file types.
Check Printer's Default Settings
- Ensure that your printer is set as the default printer.
- You can check this in Devices and Printers or Printers & Scanners and set it as the default printer if needed.
Printer Firmware Update
- Check if there’s a firmware update available for your printer from the HP website. An outdated firmware could sometimes cause printing issues.
Check Connectivity
- Since the test page works, the Wi-Fi connection seems fine, but ensure that no connectivity issues are causing the problem. Try printing over USB to see if the issue persists.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
