HP Color LaserJet Enterprise CM4540f MFP

We have two twins printers, CM4540MFP acquired on 2012. They did a great job giving service to a lot of people in the office but with the years the problems appeared.
One of them is stuck with an error. 59.00.F0.

The other is operative yet, but each time it is restarted due an electrical cut the Error 99.06.66 No boot disk appears. We try several times with the restart and finally it is operative again, it starts ok.

I tried to replace its Hard Disk, a SATA 2,5" (laptop size), but it is a SED (Self-Encrypted Disk) something that never see before. I have a lot of this kind of disk, SATA 2,5", not SED obviously.

Another try was replace the whole board with the disk from the other printer.

Both tries finished the same : the printer didn't start, it refused the replacement. I guess that a procedure must tell the printer that a essential part was replaced.

I searched a lot for any document, link, video, etc. about the board, the disk, the data encryption over the data stored on the disk. I didn't find any result : nothing related with the CM4540 and those tasks.

Any assistance, help, anything is grateful from now .. Greetings !!!

Swapping formatters between machines does not always work. If you are going to swap parts you are better off swapping the harddrive from one machine to the formatter of the board on the printer you want to use. It will boot with an error and a blue screen. This is the preboot menu and you need to go to administration>boot disk>  and perform a erase/unlock. You then format the drive and download the current firmware. Proper part for a replacment drive is L41606-011

You should be able to purchase this drive from the HP Parts Store.

The 59.f0 error is caused most times by a sticking solenoid in the fuser drive assembly. If you check YouTube there are many videos that show you how to resolve this error by replacing the felt bumper on the solenoid.
