HP LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP M276nw

I have a Laserjet 200 MFP M276nw and when I print from my MacBook or iPad, it does not print.

I am connected via wifi and have run the wireless network test on the printer. It has come back with Excellent Signal strength. I can printer a test page with no problem. But when I print a document, the document shows up in the Print Center and shows that it is connected. On the printer, it appears to be receiving file and then nothing happens.

I have deleted the printer from my printer setting in System and unplugged/replugged the printer. Still not working. Is there anything I should be trying?

Thanks

Hi @ocRealtor1 ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP M276nw is having trouble printing documents despite having a good wireless signal and being able to print a test page, here are a few steps you can try:

Check Printer Status:

  • Ensure that the printer is not in a "Sleep" or "Power Save" mode. Sometimes, printers may not respond if they are in low-power states. Try pressing the "Wake" button if available.

Update Printer Firmware: Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Visit the HP support website and check if there is a firmware update available for your printer. Updating the firmware can resolve many issues related to printing.

Reconfigure Printer Settings:

  • On your MacBook or iPad, go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners. Remove the printer and then add it back again. Make sure you use the latest driver software from HP’s website.

Check Print Queue:

  • Open the Print Center or Printers & Scanners preferences and check if there are any stalled print jobs. Clear any documents stuck in the queue.

Reset Printing System:

  • On your MacBook, you can reset the printing system by going to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, right-clicking (or control-clicking) in the list of printers, and selecting Reset Printing System. After resetting, you will need to add your printer again.

Network Issues:

  • Ensure that your MacBook and iPad are connected to the same network as the printer. Sometimes, network settings can cause connectivity issues.

Printer’s IP Address:

  • Confirm that the IP address of the printer has not changed. You can find the printer’s IP address on the printer’s control panel or network configuration page. Verify that this IP address matches the one configured on your MacBook.

Check for Conflicts:

  • Ensure that there are no other devices or software that might be causing conflicts with your printer. Sometimes security software or firewalls can block printer communication.

Use HP Smart App: HP printer setup (HP Smart app)

  • Consider using the HP Smart app on your MacBook or iPad for printer management. The app might help in diagnosing and fixing connectivity issues.

I hope this helps.
