HP LaserJet M110we Printer

my Laserjet m110e printer won't print except for printer reports. The red exclamation mark flashes continously and the printer report says " a problem has occurred and you will be unable to print , except for printer reports, until the issue is resolved, check your hp account for more information, to learn more, open the hp smart app or visit www.hpsmart.com and sign into your account"

Opening the hp smart app I see the printer with a red  disk underneath the image of the printer and the words  "printer cannot print" next to it. The verticle bar with the words "estimated supply levels" shows a clear bar with dashed red lines around it.

The toner cartridge is a new HP genuine cartridge.

I have tried new firmware and also tried installing the printer fresh onto an different computer but the status stays the same.

Any advise is most welcome

@lewisSharp, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

That’s really frustrating, especially since you've already tried reinstalling and updating the firmware. Try these steps to fix it:

Check Your HP Account & Subscription Status

Sign in to HP Smart and look for any alerts about your Instant Ink subscription.

If your account isn't properly linked, follow the prompts to activate it.

Restart the Printer

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
  3. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.
  4. Plug the power cord back in.
  5. Turn on the printer.

Reset the Printer's Connection

Disconnect it from Wi-Fi by pressing and holding the Wi-Fi button on the printer for about 5-10 seconds until the light blinks.

Restart your router, wait a minute, then reconnect the printer using HP Smart.

As a final option, you can perform a factory reset, but keep in mind that this will erase all settings, and you will need to set up the printer from scratch.
