  • Power Off and Unplug:
    • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Remove and Inspect Cartridge:
    • Open the printer’s access door to remove the toner cartridge.
    • Check for any protective tapes or covers that might still be on the new cartridge.
  • Reinstall the Cartridge:
    • Reinstall the cartridge carefully, ensuring it is properly seated and secured.
  • Power On:
    • Plug the printer back in and turn it on to see if the error clears.

**2. Inspect the Cartridge Contacts

  • Clean Contacts:
    • Use a soft, dry cloth to gently clean the electrical contacts on both the toner cartridge and inside the printer where the cartridge connects.
  • Check for Damage:
    • Look for any visible damage to the cartridge contacts or the printer’s contact points.
