Hi @CCF25,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue with the flashing lights on your HP DeskJet 4158e All-in-One Printer typically indicates an error. Here's what you can try to resolve it:

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Open the paper tray and look for any paper jams or blockages.
  • Check inside the printer where paper enters and exits for any stuck paper.

Check Ink Cartridges:

  • Open the ink cartridge access door and ensure the cartridges are properly seated.
  • Remove the cartridges, clean them gently with a lint-free cloth, and reinsert them.

Power Cycle the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power outlet.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn the printer on.

Reset the Printer:

  • Perform a reset by turning off the printer, unplugging it, and holding down the "Cancel" and "Resume" buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds. Then release and turn the printer back on.

Check for Software or Driver Issues:

  • Make sure you have the latest drivers installed on your computer by visiting the HP support website.

If the lights continue to flash after performing these steps, it may indicate a more specific error, such as a hardware issue, which might require professional assistance.
