@Michelle335, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If your HP Envy printer does not power on when you plug it in, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

Check Power Source:

  • Make sure that the power cord is securely plugged into both the printer and a working wall outlet. Try plugging the printer into a different electrical outlet to rule out issues with the power source.

Inspect Power Cables:

  • Examine the power cord and adapter for any physical damage. If there are any visible signs of damage, consider replacing the power cord.

Ensure Proper Setup:

  • Ensure that any protective packaging material has been removed from the printer. During unboxing, there might be packaging materials that could block the connection of cables.

Attempt a Reset:

  • Unplug the power cord from the printer and the power outlet. Wait for about 60 seconds. Reconnect the power cord and try to turn on the printer again.

I hope this helps.
