Hi @Jax211,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your printer is displaying a "Load longer paper" error message even after trying new paper, here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow.

Check Paper Size Settings:

  • Ensure the paper size settings on your printer match the paper you are using. If you are using A4 paper, make sure the printer is set to A4 and not Letter or another size.

Paper Tray Adjustments:

  • Make sure the paper guides in the paper tray are properly adjusted to fit the size of the paper you are using. If the guides are too tight or too loose, it can cause errors.

Use Correct Paper Type:

  • Verify that you are using the correct type of paper for your printer. Some printers may have trouble with thicker or glossy paper.

Inspect the Paper Path:

  • Check for any obstructions or jammed paper in the printer's paper path. Clear out any debris or paper fragments.

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Ensure that your printer drivers are up to date. You can download the latest drivers from the HP website.

Printer Reset:

  • Try turning off the printer, unplugging it for a minute, and then plugging it back in. This can sometimes reset the error.

Check for Firmware Updates:

  • Some printers may require firmware updates to resolve persistent errors. Check the HP website for any updates.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
