macOS 10.14 Mojave

Using iMac OS Mojave 10.14.6 - HP Color Laserjet Pro MFP M281CDW

Everything has been working great since installing the printer. Suddenly, when I hit print, the print icon appears at the bottom of the screen, the printer hums for about two seconds and then goes silent while the icon disappears. This happens whether connected via wifi or via ethernet.  Printer works flawlessly when copying or when using USB flash drive.

Might be a corrupted print driver, your first step would be to uninstall the printer and reinstall it.

I tried to uninstall the printer and reinstall it.  Now the USB option will not print. When you touch print, the printer hums for 1-2

seconds and nothing happens. Screen returns to menu.  Printing from the computer shows the same as before. 

Perhaps I am not uninstalling and installing it properly.  I really don't know how to do this.
