The control panel  started to blur the screen until it got completely off. I've bought a new one thinking the problem was a defective display but it didn't change anything.

The printer works normally and I can scan using the remote control panel on my PC

In order to fix this do I need to buy a new motherboard?

HP Recommended

It could be a flat flex cable connecting the control panel to the motherboard. If you have a multimeter, you can check the cable.

The control panel is connected through a mini usb, I don´t think there is any flex cable. Anyway I'll have a look to cables
