Using a HP Office Jet Pro 9018 with instant ink and a MacBook Air running OS Sonoma

Hi @DaaronS,

 

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

 

It seems like your HP printer is configured to work with HP Instant Ink. I will need a few additional details to help you with this.

 

I request you to share all the details in a private message. 

 In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Support Community profile, next to your profile Name.

To understand the issue and help you, please share the details listed below:

• Registered email address and the serial number of the printer.

 

Note: Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.

 

In the meantime, Please try the below steps:

  • If the pop-ups are being displayed from the HP Software you can disable them in the HP Utility.
  • Go to the Applications folder.  In teh Applications folder will be an HP folder.  Inside that folder is a shortcut to the HP Utility.  Open the HP Utility.
  • Once the HP Utility is open select your printer on the left side.  (If there is only one printer installed you may not see the list).
  • Click on Message Center.

  • In Message Center click on Settings.
  • In Message Center Settings de-select the box labelled "Show extended alerts for:

  • Select Apply Now at the bottom.
  • This will turn off the pop-up alerts.
  • The easiest way to remove all HP Driver software from your macOS system is to download HP Easy Start and use the uninstaller.
  • You can get HP Easy Start here
  • Then follow the instructions on this support page for uninstalling using HP Easy Start.
