@Sylviecar, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're encountering an "incomplete configuration" error on your HP printer. Here are some steps you can try to resolve this issue:

Check Network Connection: Ensure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer or mobile device. You can check the network settings on the printer's display panel.

Restart the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for about 60 seconds. Then plug it back in and turn it on.

Use the HP Smart App: Open the HP Smart app on your device. If prompted to set up the printer again, select "Add Printer" or the "+" button and follow the on-screen instructions.

Reset Network Settings: On the printer’s control panel, go to Setup > Network > Restore Network Settings. This will reset the network settings and allow you to set it up again using the HP Smart app.

Update Firmware: Ensure your printer has the latest firmware. You can check for firmware updates through the HP Smart app or the printer's settings menu.

Check for Paper Jams or Missing Cartridges: Sometimes, the error can be due to a paper jam or a missing toner/ink cartridge. Make sure everything is properly installed and there are no obstructions.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
